The 8th Annual Empty Bowls (Event Notice)

The 8th annual Empty Bowls will take place on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at First United Methodist Church, 105 N. Mill Street. Chestertown RiverArts Clay Studio hosts this popular community event that raises funds for the Kent County Food Pantry. Artists from the Clay Studio, headed by instructor Marilee Schumann,  create individual beautiful pottery bowls.  Each guest choses a bowl which is then filled with homemade soup.  These bowls are then taken home as a reminder that many people do not have enough food to eat.

Additional sponsors are Kent County Arts Council, Bookplate, Massoni Art, Mimi’s Closet, Peaceful World Enterprise and Welcome Home.

As a result of all these efforts and the generous people who attend, the pantry receives a very large donation to help continue our work of feeding the hungry.

Two sewings: 5:00 and 6:30 pm. Adults $25, students and children $10. Reserve tickets at 410-778-6300 or online at www.chestertownriverarts.org.
