The 8th annual Empty Bowls event was held on April 11 at First Methodist Church in Chestertown. All proceeds from the evening are donated to the work of Community Food Pantry. Dedicated potters from RiverArts Clay Studio created beautiful bowls.

Everyone who came chose a bowl and then was served delicious homemade soup, bread and cookies.  Music was provided by the Ukulele Club, and Sue Caswell from the Pantry Board briefly spoke about the impact of the Pantry in the community.

The sell out crowd seemed appreciative of all the efforts and clearly enjoyed the evening which was a delight for the senses! Besides the Clay Studio, other sponsors were Kent County Arts Council, Bookplate, MassoniArt, Mimi’s Closet, Peaceful World Enterprise, and Welcome Home.
